Replacement dual-controlled vehicle, Legal expenses & personal injury

For vehicle claims please complete and return the Accident or Theft claim form as soon as possible.

  • If your vehicle is undriveable or beyond economic repair please advise us of its location in order that we can arrange an urgent inspection.

Because commercial claims involve your business and may cause you loss in revenue, it is important that your insurers are notified of your claim immediately.

  • Take a note of the other parties:  Name, Address, Insurer, Vehicle Registration, Make and Model
  • Notify the police as soon as possible if:
    • Anyone is injured
    • If the other party refuses to co-operate
    • Vehicle is stolen or vandalised
  • Take lots of photos at the scene showing the damage and position of all cars and if you have dashcam images you can also provide those
  • Make a record of any statements made by other parties, but do not discuss blame as this may prejudice your insurer’s position.  It would also be helpful to provide a detailed sketch
  • Even if there is minor or no apparent damage to either car you MUST inform us as soon as possible
  • Emergency repair work can always be carried out in order to minimise further losses or damage

  • It is advisable to obtain two estimates for repair from competent tradesmen
  • Retain all damaged goods until your insurers have decided whether an inspection is required
  • Please provide as much information as possible to support your loss e.g. Receipts and Photos
  • Any Theft or loss occurring outside the home should be reported to the police immediately
